REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING September 7, 2010

The Waelder City Council met for their regular monthly meeting on September 7, 2010 at 7:03 p.m. at Waelder City Hall. Those present were Mike Harris, Robert Tovar, Annie Jackson and Becky Ayala. (Absent: Robert Tovar and Mayor Roy Tovar) Mayor Pro-Tem Dora Ramirez did preside.

The meeting was called to order and a quorum was established.

Motion made by Mike Harris, I move to approve the minutes from the previous meeting with a second by Annie Jackson. The vote was unanimous and the motion was passed.

Motion made by Mike Harris, I move to approve the payment of the bill with a second by Annie Jackson. The vote was unanimous and the motion was passed.

A motion was made by Annie Jackson to approve the financial reports with a second by Mike Harris. The vote was unanimous and the motion was passed.

Open Forum:
LCRA is donating ten (10) trees to the City Kiddie Park.
Brittney Cedillo (High School Senior) will be working on her Volunteer Public Service to go on her resume for a school scholarship.

Motion made by Mike Harris, I move to table Item #7 (Ordinance 0-823-10 and Ordinance 0-823-10).A with a second by Annie Jackson. The vote was unanimous and the motion was passed.

A motion was made by Mike Harris to waive all permit fees and deposits for the Texas Neighborhood Stabilization Program and that the construction company will be billed for their usage with a second by Annie Jackson. The vote was unanimous and the motion was passed.

A motion was made by Mike Harris to approve a resolution authorizing the preparation and submission of a 2011/2012(PY) Texas Community Development Block Grant (TXCDBG) Application to the Texas Department of Rural Affairs (TDRA) for funding under the Texas Community Development Block Grant Program (TxCDBG) with a second by Annie Jackson. The vote was unanimous and the motion was passed.

A motion was made by Mike Harris to table the Part-Time Street Maintenance Position with a second by Annie Jackson. The vote was unanimous and the motion was passed.

A motion was made by Annie Jackson to adjourn with a second by Mike Harris. The vote was unanimous and the motion was passed.
