SPECIAL CALLED MEETING August 9, 2010

A Special Called Meeting was scheduled for Monday, August 9, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Waelder City Hall. Those present were Mike Harris, Robert Tovar, Dora Ramirez, Annie Jackson and Becky Ayala. Mayor Roy Tovar did preside.

The meeting was called to order and a quorum was established.

A motion was made by Mike Harris to put the 3 police vehicles for seal bids at a maximum of $3,000 with a second by Robert Tovar. The vote was unanimous and the motion was passed.

A motion was made by Mike Harris to hire Rudy Cantu acting as the Contract and Ordinance Specialist for the City of Waelder with a second by Becky Ayala and for Philip Ruiz to gather more information on Mr. Rudy Cantu. The vote was unanimous and the motion was passed.

The Council convened to Executive Session at 7:06 p.m. according to Texas Government Code 551.074: Police Department: Chief of Police

The Council reconvened to Open Session at 7:12 p.m.
A motion was made by Mike Harris to dispose the agenda item #7 with a second by Becky Ayala. The vote was unanimous and the motion was passed.

A motion was made by Annie Jackson to adjourn with a second by Dora Ramirez. The vote unanimous and the motion was passed.
